The Awards Committee is seeking nominations from the membership of the American Society of Sugar Beet Technologists for Honorary Membership, Meritorious Service and 40-year veteran.  These will be awarded at the ASSBT/IIRB Joint Meeting to be held in San Antonio, TX, February 26 through March 1, 2003

Nominations should be sent to the ASSBT office, and must be received by November 15, 2002.

The following are the guidelines for the above-mentioned awards.

Honorary Membership
Individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the beet sugar industry or have by virtue of scientific accomplishment acquired the admiration and respect of the Society.  Nominations must include a summary of the candidateās qualifications.

Meritorious Service Award
Individuals who have been outstanding in promoting the objectives of the Society or have made significant contributions to the beet sugar industry.  Nominations must include a summary of the candidateās qualifications.

 Forty-Year Veteran Award
 Individuals completing forty years of service to the beet sugar industry.
